Floating house on the Amstel
A houseboat for a father and two children in the Amstel river at the foot of the Rembrandt tower. A black floating box of black pine planks, with American white oak window frames and a grass roof. Inside, one big concrete countertop under the huge sliding windows overlooking the Berlage Bridge. A dining area where you sit below the water line and a higher area, the living room, from where you look out onto the water.
