Perceptual Roofscape for Tripolis
Deconstruction of the Burgerweeshuis
As part of a Steven Holl workshop at the Berlage Institute (then at the Civic Orphanage), we were asked: to do something with James Turrell, craters and dunes. We created a deconstructing nightscape for the civic orphanage with ten slide projectors and slides. You can see this from the surrounding office building Tripolis (also by van Eyck) but also if you stick your head through one of the skylights of the roof.
