apartment building Barendrecht
Renovating 1970s architecture is starting to become an increasing part of our work. These buildings, often schools, but often also other social functions, were actually built at the time to serve only a few decades. Often they have now been there for more than 40 years with all the consequences that entails. So was this assignment to update an apartment complex in Barendecht whose subdivision deed states that no people under 40 years of age may live in it.
This building, which is partly owned by a local housing corporation and partly by ordinary flat owners, is in need of some renovation. Not easy, but very interesting. We hope to show slightly fresher and happier images of this building in a while.
